Furniture shopping wants

It will probably take years to completely furnish our house, but these are the things I am crushing on at the moment. White/grey/aqua are my main colors throughout my house. Where do you like to furniture and decor shop, especially for great deals?

House projects for days...

I think the story of our lives around here for the next 6 months will be house projects, and I am cool with that. Buying our first home was exciting, stressful, frustrating and so much fun! Lately we have been furniture shopping, assembling, hanging and doing what we can to make this place feel like home.

My favorite moments from the last 2 weeks:

-Taking a half hour to figure out the pilot light, only to find out that we had lit it the first time we tried, just couldn't tell haha
-Losing the instructions to our thermostat and Travis youtubing how to set it on a timer
-Travis putting up our mailbox like a boss
-Going furniture shopping and finding a kitchen table and couch in like 20 minutes (it will never be that easy again)
-Getting some friends to help us assemble IKEA bar stools, much needed help.
-Realizing our push mower (yes those are still a thing) sucked and having a neighbor lend us their good one
-Hanging pictures are arguing about if they were aligned
-Cooking in our kitchen together for our friends and family!

I can't wait for all the memories we are going to make in this place!

Snorkel Adventures

This trip was about snorkeling. I mean we were snorkeling at least half the day on our day trips. It was AWESOME. It was better snorkeling than I have done in Mexico or Hawaii. Like 10x better. The coral was more alive and colorful and the fish were crazy. We even got to snorkel around a sunken WWII ship.

Some things also spotted by members of our group: horn fish, stingray, turtle, shark, etc.

Our first few snorkel spots blew us away. As we continued on the trip it managed to get better and better, because the water got clearer towards El Nido. In fact the waters we snorkeled are considered the clearest waters in the world. So glad we had a GoPro to capture all the magic.

San Diego weekend getaway

A couple weeks ago (the weekend after we got back from the Philippines) Qualtrics sent my team +spouses on a little retreat to San Diego. Have I mentioned I work for the BEST company ever?

We got to stay in little bungalow suites with our own private beach, got some meals with the team, and $150 to spend on whatever! I mean, what else could you ask for? We spent our days recovering, relaxing, going to the temple, playing tennis, eating and falling in love with carne asada fries, using Uber like bosses, trying out interesting bikes, and steaming in the hot tub.

Philippine wildlife

We saw some crazy cool wildlife on our trip! Some of my favs: the suicidal hermit crabs, the saddest puppy on the planet, the racist suicidal white crab, and the super shy monkeys!
