London, England 2016 Part 1

Our first day in London was not super exciting. I was on go go go mode and everyone else was like relax Jess. We walked around a lot- saw St. pauls, went to their evensong performance, walked across millennial bridge, saw the globe and just took London in.

On our second day in London was a lot more eventful. We met up with my moms good friend from high school, Tracy! I stayed with her 4 years ago when I came to Europe the first time so it was fun to meet up again. Her and Martin showed us around the major sites of London and took us to the most delicious place for lunch: Plum and Spilt milk.

We started the day off at Buckingham palace (we were all saying it wrong until Tracy helped us out). We snapped some pics and pulled out our selfie sticks for a bit before we walked over to Westminster to meet up with Tracy and Martin.

We got to Westminster and realized the line was probably a good two hours.... and decided it wasn't worth it to go inside. We walked around the church, through the schools and in the gift shop. Then we headed over to see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben before hopping in a taxi to go to Kings Cross Station!

We stood in line for the dorky platform 9& 3/4 pictures (okay really it was the best thing ever) and went to lunch! We split up after and said our goodbyes. Our next stop was the British Museum where we saw napkins the beatles had written lyrics on, the Guttenberg bible and lots of other treasures. Then that night we went to Les Miserables which was incredible!

So happy we were able to meet with with Tracy and Martin and that they reminded us about Percy Pigs! Until next time!
