Disneyland 2017 girls trip!

About a month ago my best friends and I went on our (almost annual) girls trip to California! It was so much fun. We all took off from work a little early on Thursday for our 6pm Flight!

Our hotel was really cute and castle like, but the main perk was its 20 minute walk from the front entrance of Disneyland!

Thursday night we made some bad decisions like stopping at Wendys for dinner. haha and got some groceries for breakfast.

Friday morning we were up bring and early and literally sprinting to Disneyland. I was a little mad that we missed opening by 15 minutes... again. Getting places and through security always takes longer than you think. Soon enough we were in park and dreaming of a perfect day!

It was a lot busier than we were expecting, but that was probably due to the absolutely perfect weather. Sunny and 65. We took things a little slower than we normally do at disney, but still rode pretty much everything we wanted to (Pirates was closed so that was sad) and we ate dinner at the Blue Bayou! We got our reservations 2 months in advance and I am SO glad we did!

Food: We ate our way through Disneyland this year. Dole Whips, Churros, cream cheese pretzels, popcorn, corndogs (Megan), Fried Chicken, Caramel apples, cake pops, Dinner at the Blue Bayou (HIGHLY RECOMMEND)

The rest of the weekend include Downtown Disney, the beach, lots of Mexican food, and 3 trips to Sprinkles. Trips always go way too fast, cant wait till next year!

Life lately

I started writing this post in September, clearly the last couple months have gotten away from me. Here's a little update.

We put in our backyard and got a fence! And now we are done with our major house additions. After shutters, the backyard, and the fence we are tapped on house projects/expenses! I am sure we will have small furniture or maintenance expenses in the near future, but I feel like our house is basically complete at this point. I absolutely love it, and wish I was able to spend more time at home.

Had an amazing trip to Florida with my fam

If you haven't seen on my other social media channels, I have started my own business as a Shop Stevie rep. Its already been 6 weeks and I am so overwhelmed with the support people are giving me and the success its had already! I am also having a blast figuring this new small business out. I love that I am in charge, and that I decide where to go with it.

I have also started my first semester as a BYU-I online instructor! Ive been interested in teaching for a while, and this opportunity came up and I couldn't say no! I am teaching Introduction to Community Health this fall and am excited to get back into public health on a weekly basis.

I can definitely say I am excited for the Holidays coming up. We already have a Halloween party and Thanksgiving party we have been invited to outside of all of our family stuff. We also decided that this year we are going to stay home and actually pass out candy to the kids in our neighborhood for Halloween! I am SOO excited to just chill, watch disney channel halloween movies and meet more people in our neighborhood.

I may be working 80-90 hours a week right now between my 3 jobs, but I couldn't pass up any of these opportunities! Things are crazy, but I figure now is the time in my life to take risks and see where things can go. I am lucky to have a super supportive husband who is picking up the slack and supporting me in all my crazy ideas!

My sister took these amazing pics last weekend on the Alpine Loop!

Here's to the next few months of craziness. Before I know it it'll be 2017.

Life lately- July 2016

Ive been blogging a lot about Europe lately and am not even close to done, but I wanted to update the blog on what we've been up to lately for the last two months.

A lot of our time thees last two months has been spent working hard at our jobs, which is boring, but essential.

Fun date planned by my husband, flowers, picnic and walking around one of our favorite neighborhoods.

Lots of boating and crying that these people left us for med school!

Birthday dinner with these girls. Me and Jamie had matched twice in one day.... we are the same person.

We also spent 3 weeks getting our yard in! So many friends and family have helped us get this done, we are so grateful for everyones help! You will all be invited over for dinner when its done- one more weekend to come extending our patio out! Also can't wait for our fence- fences make good neighbors ;)

4th of July weekend was a blast! We went boating Friday Night, did stadium of fire Saturday night, had my family and grandparents over for dinner at our house sunday night, did a family tennis tournament Monday afternoon, and dinner and fireworks with Travis' family Monday night! It was an action packed weekend and so much fun!

Lots of running and bike rides to train for my half marathon in september- not pictured- several 5pm after work runs with megan, and lots of complaining from me about the temperature.

London, England 2016 Part 1

Our first day in London was not super exciting. I was on go go go mode and everyone else was like relax Jess. We walked around a lot- saw St. pauls, went to their evensong performance, walked across millennial bridge, saw the globe and just took London in.

On our second day in London was a lot more eventful. We met up with my moms good friend from high school, Tracy! I stayed with her 4 years ago when I came to Europe the first time so it was fun to meet up again. Her and Martin showed us around the major sites of London and took us to the most delicious place for lunch: Plum and Spilt milk.

We started the day off at Buckingham palace (we were all saying it wrong until Tracy helped us out). We snapped some pics and pulled out our selfie sticks for a bit before we walked over to Westminster to meet up with Tracy and Martin.

We got to Westminster and realized the line was probably a good two hours.... and decided it wasn't worth it to go inside. We walked around the church, through the schools and in the gift shop. Then we headed over to see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben before hopping in a taxi to go to Kings Cross Station!

We stood in line for the dorky platform 9& 3/4 pictures (okay really it was the best thing ever) and went to lunch! We split up after and said our goodbyes. Our next stop was the British Museum where we saw napkins the beatles had written lyrics on, the Guttenberg bible and lots of other treasures. Then that night we went to Les Miserables which was incredible!

So happy we were able to meet with with Tracy and Martin and that they reminded us about Percy Pigs! Until next time!
