Jackson Hole Weekend Getaway

For Christmas I gifted Travis a ski trip to Jackson Hole. If you know my husband well you know skiing is one of his passions and he has always wanted to go on a ski trip!

We left early on Friday for the 5 hour drive to Jackson. We listened to music and enjoyed the work free day. We arrived at our Tiny Cabin and were so charmed! I would stay again at the Fireside Resort in a HEARTBEAT. This place was so cute and cozy and it was nice to have a whole place all to ourselves.

We had planned on night skiing that night when we got there, but when it was -8 degrees we opted for a nice meal and cuddling by the fire watching a movie instead.

The next day we woke up early to ski all day at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This place was INTENSE. Definitely the steepest runs Ive ever done and I only stuck to the blue! The resort was breathtaking and I loved that a bunch of the lifts had closed in gondolas.

After skiing we showered up and headed to dinner in Jackson. We had so much good food while we were here!

The next day we explored jackson town. This place is so cute!!! We went to this ADORABLE place for lunch, got delicious caramels and fudge from Yippie- I- O, walked around the shops and then drove home.

We are definitely planning to come back! Next time I would definitely take an extra day to add in another ski day.

Steven Tyler Concert

Last week, my company was hosting its annual users conference! This year the concert was Steven Tyler.

Now I am not gonna lie, I was super disappointed when they announced Stephan Tyler as the entertainment, last years Journey concert was just so fun! But I was in for a surprise. We invited Travis’ best friend from high school and his fiancé, and had a blast!  Not only did Steven Tylers rendition of “I don’t want to miss a thing” sound as good or better than the recorded version from his days with Aerosmith, but he was so fun to watch!

This guy is in his late sixties and literally running around the stage for 2.5 hours. I don’t know how he does it! He was making faces at the camera, had his tasseled microphone and was walking around in basically a pirate shirt jack sparrow style all night.

Thanks Qualtrics for another fun experience!

I hit the jackpot in the family department

I definitely hit the jackpot in the family department. We all love to hang out and spend time together. We have big dinners or parties at least once a month with this side of the family and it is awesome.

This time we got together for a surprise party for my grandma! It was her 80th and we figured it was time to put her in the spotlight since she tries to be more of a behind the scenes woman most of the time.

My Dad and his siblings concocted the plan, and carried out such a great surprise. My grandma thought she was going to dinner with her 3 sons, but as it turns out, she was coming to dinner with her 3 sons, two daughters (who secretly flew in for the occasion) and a bunch of grandkids! Her faces were PRICELESS (as seen below).

We ate at the delicious and beautiful La Jolla Groves in Provo, and it was a treat. I am so grateful for this family that has always supported me and each other.
